Music Therapist

Music Educator

Music Therapist (MT-BC)

Granite State Music Therapy is seeing a passionate music therapist to join our team, with both full and part time positions available. GSMT is an active, well-established practice serving communities across New Hampshire and Massachusetts, providing music therapy in schools, rehab centers, assisted living facilities, hospitals, day programs, and homes.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or equivalency degree in music therapy

  • Board Certification (MT-BC) or eligibility to sit for the exam within 6 months of hire

  • Ability to conduct assessments, set goals, and implement evidence-based interventions for individuals and groups

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to track progress and collaborate with families, caregivers, and treatment teams

  • Interpersonal strengths, compassionate, collaborative, and professional

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Music Educator (Traditional and Adaptive Lessons)

Granite State Music Therapy is excited to expand our teaching team with a Music Educator who can provide traditional and/or adaptive music lessons. We proudly serve students of all ages across New Hampshire and Massachusetts, offering lessons in piano, guitar, ukulele, and more. Whether in-home, in the community, or online, our goal is to make music education accessible and meaningful for everyone!

We are looking for musicians who love to teach and who can adapt their approach to match the goals, abilities, and interests of each learner. Some students may be preparing for recitals or honing advanced skills, while others may be exploring music as a creative outlet for self-expression and growth. Our educators play a key role in helping each student find success and joy through music.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proficiency on at least one primary instrument (piano, guitar, ukulele, or voice preferred; others welcome!)

  • Prior teaching experience in private or group settings

  • Creativity and flexibility to design engaging lessons for learners of varying backgrounds and abilities

  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license for travel to lessons
