Like every year, GSMT was able to bring the fun despite the rain! 🌧️ ✨

In the past we’ve played musical baseball and brought our own version of “Plinko” to win some fun prizes. This year’s set up featured a musical craft where participants were encouraged to create their own “rainy day record” out of a paper plate. 💧🎶 Ranging from classics like “Singin’ In The Rain” by Gene Kelly and “Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head” by B.J. Thomas, to personal favorites like “Spring and a Storm” by Tally Hall, the power of music and art shone brighter than we ever could have imagined! Thank you to all our GSMT families who stopped by to say hello and to the new friends we got to meet! We are endlessly grateful for the opportunity to be part of such an incredible event! Looking forward to next year! 😊

🎶 Despite the rain, the vibes were strong at the Best Buddies Walk in Concord! ☔💙

We loved seeing so many members of our GSMT community come out to support and connect—even on a soggy spring day. One of the highlights? Our “Name a Song…” music baseball game, which brought people together through laughter, shared memories, and a whole lot of fun. ⚾🎵

Events like this remind us just how powerful music, and community, can be. Huge thanks to Best Buddies NH for creating such a joyful, inclusive space. 💛

New Hampshire Family Support Conference

April 25, 2026

✨ We had such a great time at the New Hampshire Family Support Conference in Concord. It’s always an incredible event, and we’re so grateful to have been part of it again this year!

We had the opportunity to offer two workshops, each with a very different (but equally meaningful) focus. In our first session, participants came together to form a band, “The Rockers,” and collaborated to rewrite their own parody of “Flowers” originally by Miley Cyrus. We were blown away by the creativity, teamwork, and musicality of the group. The energy in the room was something special!! 🎸🥁💃🏻

Our second workshop took a more educational approach, focusing on real-life applications of music therapy. We played a game called “Is it music therapy or not?” and had some great conversations about what music therapy is, what it isn’t, and how it can be used to support individuals in meaningful ways. We hope participants left with a clearer understanding of the field and some helpful local resources! 🎶✏️📚

It was so nice to see many familiar GSMT faces throughout the day, and to make new connections as well. We’re always glad to be part of this event and are already looking forward to next year!!

We’re still smiling from all the fun we had at the New Hampshire Family Support Conference last month! Our DIY Egg Shaker Egg-perience was a total hit and it was such a joy to see participants creating, filling, and decorating their very own egg shakers before jumping in to sing, dance, and play along. 🥚🎨🎵

The energy was high, the creativity was flowing, and the music brought everyone together in the best way. Moments like these remind us just how powerful music can be for connection, joy, and community. 💃🕺🌈

A huge thank you to the NH Family Support Conference for having us again this year—we're always honored to be part of this incredible, inclusive event! Until next time... keep on shakin'! 😉

Imagine the Possibilities Gala

September 25, 2025

🌟 We had so much fun at the Gateways Fundraiser: Imagine the Possibilities! We are truly honored to have been part of such an uplifting event.

Gateways Community Services is the state-designated area agency for Greater Nashua, providing dynamic programs and supports for individuals with developmental disabilities, acquired brain disorders, autism, older adults, and veterans. We are privileged to work with so many amazing Gateways families and look forward to continuing our support in any way we can. 💛

Magnify Voices

May 21, 2025

We had the deep honor of participating in the Magnify Voices Expressive Arts Festival, and we’re still reflecting on the impact of this incredible day.

This annual event creates a platform for teens across NH to share their mental health experiences through art, music, storytelling, and creative expression. The stories we witnessed, told with such courage, honesty, and resilience, were deeply moving.

From powerful visual artwork to raw and heartfelt words, these young voices reminded us just how important it is to listen, validate, and support teen mental health. We were honored to provide a musical backdrop to this space of advocacy and healing, and we’re in awe of the strength shown by every participant. 🌟

To the teens who shared your truth: thank you. Your voices matter. Your stories make a difference. And your creativity is a light in this world. 💛

Early Childhood Music

Check out our wonderful intern, Sarah, leading an early childhood music group for the Windham Mom’s Alliance over the summer! 🎸⭐️ These groups met weekly all summer long for a morning of music making. For our final meeting, we even invited older adults for an intergenerational music experience! This was a special opportunity for little ones and older adults to share music, smiles, and connection together. ❤️

Windham Day Program

September 8, 2026

Kelly Weaver, MT-BC hosted a music making group with the Windham Day Program! While the group’s usual meeting place underwent renovations, GSMT was able to bring the fun for this wonderful group of ladies! Provided a variety of instruments, participants were invited to play and sing along to familiar songs such as ‘Que Sera Sera’ and ‘Side By Side’. 🥁

These songs remind us that we can roll with the flow of life and lean on our support systems to help carry us when things start to feel like too much. We conversed, laughed, and engaged in a fun music making experience together! ⭐️

The group even got a feature in the Windham Independent News! 📰

Summer Recital

July 11, 2026

Ms. Elizabeth’s most recent piano studio recital featuring her wonderful students!

These students put on a fantastic performance, showcasing all of the hard work they've put into their lessons throughout the year. It was wonderful to see each student share their music with family, friends, and our community. We couldn't be more proud of everything they accomplished!

⭐️ A special congratulations goes to our graduating seniors, Amelia Phillips and Luca Mercuro! Thank you for your years of dedication and for sharing your talents with us. It has been a joy to watch you grow as musicians, and we wish you all the best in this next chapter!

Thank you to all of our students, families, and everyone who helped make this summer’s recital such a memorable evening. 🎹🎶

Seacoast Pathways

March 19, 2025

GSMT had an unforgettable collaboration with Seacoast Pathways, where Kelly Weaver, MT-BC, led a vibrant music social that brought everyone together through the power of music! 🎤💫

Seacoast Pathways offers a supportive environment where individuals with mental health diagnoses and/or brain injuries can explore meaningful work, build friendships, access education, and find the services they need. It’s a place that encourages growth and connection.
