Our Very First Adaptive Lesson Talent Showcase!
We had an absolutely phenomenal talent showcase this past Monday, September 28, 2026. Featuring performances from students in Kelly’s and Cassadi’s adaptive lesson studios, we spent the evening celebrating each other’s accomplishments and showing off our talents. One of the things that made the evening so special was celebrating the fact that there isn’t one single path to learning an instrument. Everyone has different goals, different strengths, and different ways of learning; this showcase honored each person’s individual musical journey. It was not about perfection, but about sharing music, celebrating accomplishments, and giving these amazing musicians the opportunity to get up in front of the people who support them and say, “Look what I can do!”
We had a wide range of performances including guitar, piano, and voice showcasing excerpts from the lesson book, to well-known hits like You Belong With Me by Taylor Swift, as well as introducing original compositions by our incredibly talented students. To all of our performers: we are so incredibly proud of you. Getting up in front of an audience and sharing something that you’ve worked hard on takes courage, and every single one of you should be proud of what you accomplished. Whether you’ve been playing for a few months or for several years, this was about celebrating where you are in your own musical journey, and we hope you feel proud of yourselves!
To our families, friends, and supporters, thank you for attending, for cheering everyone on, and for supporting these musicians throughout their learning. Your encouragement makes such a difference.
And from all of us who teach adaptive lessons, thank you for trusting us to be part of these musical journeys. It is such an honor to watch our students learn, grow, gain confidence, overcome challenges, and discover new ways to express themselves through music.
There is no one right way to be a musician. There is room on the stage for every kind of musician, every experience level, every learning style, and every musical journey. We’re looking forward to our next showcase!
